I came across a video recently that is a must see for every parent and grandparent.
The video was prepared for the Utah Primary Children’s Medical Centre campaign on the need for children to use booster seats until they are tall enough to use an adult seat belt.
It describes how using a booster seat, when your child has out grown their children’s safety seat, may possiblly avoid a serious injury to your child.
The video only last 8 minutes but could have a life changing effect if you take notice, take action and ensure your children use a booster seat if they need to.
The video is of Kyle Sorensen, a little boy who just 3 days after his 8th birthday was involved in a car accident on the way home from a doctors appointment.
The consequences of which resulted in a broken neck and truly life changing injuries that impact on him and his family. His injury could have been prevented if he had been sitting in a booster seat.
As a personal injury lawyer who has acted for children severely injured when not properly restrained, I ask you to please take a look. It’s only 8 minutes long.
Please also pass this on to anyone you know with children of this age, as well as babysitters and grandparents who may be transporting your children.
