Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Marketing Coordinator, the Marketing and Events Assistant will assist with the preparation and onsite execution of Pushor Mitchell’s various charitable, business development, and networking sponsored events. Alongside event coordination, daily duties will include data management and assistance with marketing communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Marketing Coordinator in planning and executing internal and external firm events. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Organizing registration
- Attending events, including set-up and take-down
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure event success
- Organizing and transporting supplies to event locations
- Create media, such as photos, videos, or promotional materials, related to firm marketing and events.
- Assist the Marketing Coordinator with the day-to-day functions of the department, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring marketing analytics
- Drafting and designing the monthly firm newsletter
- Updating Lawyer calendars regarding relevant events
- Other marketing and administrative duties as required.
This role will also have the opportunity to engage with other types of work dependent on the successful candidates’ skills, such as:
- Graphic Design
- Copywriting
- Copyediting
- Photography
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from, at minimum, a Diploma in Marketing from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Must have a class 5 drivers license with no restrictions.
- Owning a vehicle is an asset
- Must be comfortable driving within Kelowna and to surrounding communities
- Must be comfortable spending long hours outdoors while attending events.
- Ability to critically think and problem solve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical and digital skills, experienced with social media platforms.
- Outgoing, collaborative personality with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders as a positive representation of the Firm’s brand.

This is a temporary role that is planned to work with our firm from May to August. This role will work in person in an office setting when not attending external events.
Salary
$20 per hour. 40 hours per week.
