Her many contributions to the community include vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce Board (where she led the Getting There by Degrees campaign to bring university degrees to the Okanagan in 1989), the United Way Board, the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, the BC Cancer Agency Board, co-chair of the Okanagan Partnership, the Board of Governors of UBC, where she finished her term as chair, and the Journey Home initiative. Theresa is passionate about expanding access to higher education, and to that end established an Aboriginal Access Award to help Indigenous students who are encountering financial roadblocks to higher education.
Please join us in congratulating Theresa on this honor, and thanking her for all the work she does in the community.
