If you could spend one whole day with anyone in the world who is currently alive, who would you select and why?
Any member of my family or my good friends as I value having one on one time with people as it seems so rare in my life anymore.
If you were to receive any existing public award, what award would you like to win?
Any award that involved collegiality and respect by my colleagues in my profession.
If you could spend a day with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
Charles Darwin – to have been able to sit and observe the world at that level would have been amazing.
Who inspires you?
My mom, my husband and teachers.
What are three things on your bucket list?
Bobsledding, visiting Machu Pichu and attending a World Cup Soccer Game.
If you had an enormous yacht, what would you name it?
Get On It.
If you could foresee a single day of your future in its entirety, what date would you select?
Really tough question but I gave up attempting to anticipate the future a long time ago so I live days as they come.
What are you passionate about?
My family and fresh air.
What has been your favourite day of your life, up to this point?
Lots of great days – birth of my children are probably the tops.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My children (but I don’t really think it is fair to call them that); my law degree; becoming a partner at Pushor Mitchell.
Where is your favourite place to dine in Kelowna? What do you like about it?
I love Momo Sushi for family dining and either the Curious or the Salted Brick for social drinks and food.
What is your favourite activity or event in Kelowna? Why?
I love going to the beach and swimming in the lake after dinner with my family. It always reminds me how lucky we are to live here and have the water available to us.

What does your business/organization do?
Practice in a variety of different areas of law. Pushor Mitchell is a mid-sized law firm that just celebrated its 40 year anniversary last year. It is a vibrant, community-minded business full of skilled lawyers and staff.
What is your mission?
I practice family law so I would say my professional mission is to assist people through a significant transition in their lives with support, empathy and realistic expectations.
If you could achieve one thing within your field, what would it be?
Receive Queens’s Counsel Designation.
Where do you want your business/organization to be in five years?
More of the same – just keep heading in the right direction.

What would you like to say to your employees/volunteers?
You’re the best and I am proud to work with you all.
How does your business/organization impact the community?
In so many different ways. A key element of our success as a law firm and business as well as the focus of our business model is community involvement so both the lawyers and staff are encouraged to (and do) get involved in community events and charities that interest and impact them.
If you were trapped in an elevator with several wealthy investors from any field, which field would you want them to be experts in? What would say to them/talk about?
Any type of academic as I enjoy and am really interested in hearing about what people do and what types of cutting edge research they are doing in their particular field.
If I could change one thing about Kelowna, it would be:
More outdoor showers at public beaches to wash off sandy feet and sandy kids. I was just in Maui and realized how useful it was with 2 kids.
What do you think makes Kelowna great?
So many things but personally, the lake and my family and friends.
