Pushor Mitchell lawyer and art collector Paul Mitchell, K.C., discusses his love of art with budding local young artists who participated in the “Arts for Social Change” project as part of the Sustainable Development Challenge Kelowna 2023. The firm displayed the students’ art for six weeks in their lobby so that the students’ work could be enjoyed by a broader audience including staff, lawyers, clients and other visitors.
The Arts for Social Change project provides a platform for young artists to express their concerns about issues they care about, as each piece of art relates to one of the 17 United Nation’s Global Goals.
The project’s main event is scheduled for February 22, 2024, at the Rotary Centre for the Arts and will be a special gathering where the community can come together to celebrate the achievements of these young artists. More info can be found HERE on the Kelowna Sustainable Development Challenge.
