Why did you become a lawyer?
I have always been fascinated by business and the law. While completing my Economics and Commerce degrees, I took some basic business law courses which I loved. I consequently decided to pursue law with a focus on business, real estate and estate planning, and have been very happy with this decision. I feel privileged to be able to assist people with what are typically the most important transactions in their lives – buying or selling their business or home, and ensuring for their family’s future – all of which makes for a busy and enjoyable practice!
What is the focus of your law practice?
My primary focus is:
- Business Law: incorporating companies, drafting shareholder agreements and other business related contracts, buying and selling businesses, etc.
- Real Estate Transactions and Development: buying and selling homes, financing or re-financing, subdivisions, etc.
- Estate Planning and Administration: drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills (Advance Directives) and Representation Agreements. In addition, I assist with probate and the overall administration of the Estate.
