Pushor Mitchell hosted a private celebration in recognition of the law firm’s 50th anniversary, a significant milestone for the organization.
Managing Partner Joni Metherell expressed pride in the lawyer and staff team in attaining this important achievement, as this year signifies a long and successful journey since the firm’s humble beginnings in 1973. What started with just two lawyers that year, has now grown and expanded to become the largest law firm in British Columbia’s interior region with 37 lawyers and over 100 staff.
Partner Theresa Arsenault emphasized the importance of Pushor Mitchell’s legal and staff team and highlighted the healthy workplace culture that has strongly contributed to the firm’s success. She also stressed the importance of the firm’s previous involvement and ongoing commitment in giving back to the community through volunteerism and philanthropy.
Partner Paul Mitchell, who started at the firm in 1979, reflected on the growth he has seen in both the Okanagan and at the firm over that period of time. He also spoke to the importance of the firm’s clients, some of which have been with the firm for several decades.
Attendees were treated to catering from Yamas Taverna, wine from Summerhill Pyramid Winery, beer from Rustic Reel Brewing and entertainment from Zach Griffin and Megan Frederick. Photographer Darren Hull was on hand to capture images from the special occasion.
A special community video was produced by Limelight Studios for the occasion, which can be viewed HERE.
To the Okanagan community and all the clients we have worked with over the last 50 years: Thank you. We look forward to building the next 50 years together.
