On February 24, three Pushor Mitchell ski teams hit the slopes at Big White for the first annual Kelowna Bar Association (KBA) Ski Race.
Competing within a sub-category of the TELUS Kelowna Cup, Pushor Mitchell’s “White Out” team took first place with the most consistent back-to-back run times (with a run differential of only 7.7 seconds). The winning team consisted of Shaun Campbell, Colin Grimard, Danuta Wojtowicz, and Leah Sorge.
A second Pushor Mitchell team, the “Slope Slayers,” also placed third in the same category (clocking a differential of 9.7 seconds).
This year’s TELUS Kelowna Cup was in support of the Powderhounds. Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports is a program of People in Motion; a local non-profit and a registered charity. People In Motion works to develop and enhance the lives and informal supports for persons with disAbilities. The Powderhounds program is designed to assist anyone at any age with physical, cognitive, or sensory challenges who want to enjoy the slopes at Big White.
Congratulations to both teams for their efforts, and a big thank you for their continued community support.
