Pushor Mitchell was pleased to be the presenting sponsor for this year’s annual Spelling Bee for Project Literacy Kelowna, a fundraiser to support literacy programs in our community. The event took place Thursday May 25, 2023 at the Coast Capri Hotel.
The law firm’s team was named “Bees with J.D.s”, combining the legal term for a law degree and the theme of bees.
The team included (l-r in photo) Pushor Mitchell lawyers Alison Cathcart, Rebecca Dickson (on the Board of Directors for Project Literacy), Managing Partner Joni Metherell, Andrew Brunton, Theresa Arsenault, Sayre Potter, Miranda Wardman and Claire MacLeod.
The team placed 4th in the competition, spelling words such as ignominious and arrhythmia correct, but misspelling a few words such as fettuccine and jodhpurs.
