We are pleased to announce that Pushor Mitchell partner, Theresa Arsenault, Q.C., has been elected Chair of the Board of Governors of UBC.
She received the gavel from former Chair Bill Levine at the June 4 meeting. Kelowna’s own Brad Bennett was the immediately preceding Chair.
The UBC Board of Governors oversees the UBC budget of over 2 billion dollars, which generates economic benefits to British Columbia in excess of 10 billion dollars annually. UBC has 57,000 students, including 8300 at UBCO, and is ranked among the top 35 universities in the world,.
Pushor Mitchell is very proud to be part of such a great institution that is contributing so significantly to educating our future leaders and creating research that is changing the world.
Theresa is currently also a Director of the Canada West Foundation, and she has been involved in numerous other leadership roles in the community in the past, including:
