At $10,000, The Pushor Mitchell LLP Gold Medal Leadership Prize is the largest of the financial awards governed through UBCO that is available to students in the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences. Our faculty has the highest enrollment on campus, graduating over 500 students annually, and the generous amount of this prestigious award makes it very attractive to our students.

This award is highly competitive, and each year many deserving candidates apply. To be eligible, students must have an exceptionally strong GPA, and have dedicated hundreds of hours to leadership roles in one or more of the following areas: community service or volunteerism, cross-cultural relations, promotion of diversity, intellectual pursuits, and artistic or athletic endeavours.

Students who have won this prize have gone on to take impactful positions in the community, further their studies in graduate school, and continue the meaningful work they started as undergraduates. We have heard from many past winners about how much this award has helped them achieve their dreams and further themselves and their education.

We in the Irving K. Barber School of Arts and Sciences are grateful to Pushor Mitchell LLP for the investment they make in our future leaders and for recognizing a top graduate from our faculty each year. We look forward to continuing the legacy of supporting the strong leadership of exceptional students in our Faculty.
