Pushor Mitchell Gives Back Through A Day Of Community

Today is the Pushor Mitchell Day of Community, a special day in collaboration with United Way BC where lawyers and staff from the firm visited nine different not-for-profit organizations in the Kelowna area to assist with a variety of needs including gardening, landscaping, painting and sorting merchandise.

The day included a pizza lunch and members of the United Way speaking to the meaningful impact of volunteerism, as well as the United Way’s focus on children and youth, seniors, food insecurity and urgent response, such as the recent fires in the Okanagan area.

Organizations supported for the Pushor Mitchell Day of Community included BrainTrust Canada, Central Okanagan Hospice Association, Clubhouse Childcare Centre, CRIS Adaptive, Kelowna Gospel Mission, Kelowna S.H.A.R.E. Society, Reach Out Counselling, Salvation Army West Kelowna and YMCA Southern Interior.

Joni Metherell, Managing Partner for Pushor Mitchell, emphasized the importance of the firm’s commitment to community, stating, “giving back to Kelowna and the Okanagan community is at the heart of Pushor Mitchell. We strongly believe that by serving the community with compassion, understanding, a sense of unity and, of course, some fun – that we are all stronger together.”
