Pushor Mitchell was pleased to sponsor a wheelchair accessible table at Julia’s Junction, West Kelowna’s first inclusive playground, which held their Grand Opening on Monday July 31, 2023.
A total of $900,000 was raised to make Julia’s Junction a reality. It was inspired by project leader Melissa Grassmick’s daughter Julia who was paralyzed at 17-months old of age and uses a wheelchair. She is a social, active child, but was unable to use traditional playgrounds. Julia’s Junction is an inclusive play space where no child is excluded as a result of their disability.
